We value our customers and their right to their privacy.
Customer/Visitor information is collected as follows:
Upon your first visit a cookie is sent to your browser so the next time we know you've been here before and can maintain an unique shopping cart.
When you sign up for an account you will be prompted for personal information such as your billing/shipping address(es) phone number and email address.
During checkout you will also be asked for payment information.
This information is used in the following ways:
- If you placed an order we will pass your billing/shipping information to our supplier(s) to ship the items you ordered to you.
- If, during sign up, you checked yes to 'Receive Notices of Updates and Specials' then your name and email/mail address will be used by only employees of Zmotive.com to send you such notices. This is not done by third parties.
- If you checked yes to 'Receive Our Product Catalog' then your name and mailing address will be provided to our fulfillment company who ships our product catalogs for us. We have an agreement with this company that our 'mailing list' is ours and they are not allowed to use any information from our 'mailing list' except for the purpose of shipping OUR product catalogs.
- If you checked yes to 'Receive Other Promotional Items' then you may from time to time receive additional mailings such as coupons, vendor specials, or nifty tricks. This is not something I have implemented to this date as I am still busy trying to finish the site.
The short version:
When you provide us with your private personal information it is used only by our employees and suppliers with the intent to fulfill your order(s).
Otherwise, Your information is kept in a database behind a firewall and only restricted user accounts of internal employees that are allowed to view that data, after agreeing to adhere and enforce this privacy policy.
Your information is provided on a need to know basis. If they do not need your information to ship you the parts your ordered, update notices, catalogs, or specials then it is not given to them.
